Over

Thomas

Thomas initially started studying Health Sciences. It soon became clear that he felt more attracted to a study focused on the human being as an individual. He switched to the University of Antwerp in 2010. There, in 2013, he completed his BSC With Honours and his Master of Science in 2015, after which he obtained his MSc degree in Manual Therapy at the Free University of Brussels.

After working as a physiotherapist and manual therapist in various practices for several years, Thomas and Julian were introduced to each other on a birthday party. Both were physiotherapists, so there was plenty to talk about. Their ideas about training and therapy were so similar that slowly the idea grew to work together.

This resulted in the opening of the first physical location of EBP Studio at Churchill-laan 87a in Amsterdam.

The basic idea behind EBP Studio is a less conventional and more scientific approach to therapy and training based on the EBP principle (Evidence Based Practice).

In the past five years, Thomas has been working with, among others:

  • Dutch basketball team
  • European & World championships 3×3 basketball
  • Racing Team Nederland
  • Talpa productions
  • Penitentiary Institution Antwerp
  • Belgian National Student Council for Rehabilitation Sciences & Kinesitherapy

Evidence

No six-week transformations or quick fixes, but training and therapy for long-term health, using the best available evidence in science.

Based

Our approach is based on you, our client. Symptoms such as pain are often the reason for an appointment. However, what is the actual problem and what do you want to be able to do again? The answer to those questions is usually broader than the physical approach of a conventional physiotherapist and/or trainer. Sometimes there is no quick fix and the solution isn’t sexy. Think of it as a change in behavior.

Practice

Based on our expertise, we try to get to the core of your complaint(s) and find the most suitable solution.

Unfortunately we cannot offer any guarantees. Anyone who claims otherwise often only achieves short-term results and lacks transparency. We help you take control of your situation. We need you for that.
